Magical View
Client requested Master Plan design for back and side yards including multi-level patio, fireplace, grille and bar area, water feature, stone walls and steps, landscape, lawn and landscape lighting. House sits at a higher elevation than the backyard and has great unobstructed views to the west. The orientation and elevation made the project design dramatic, but also challenging. Client is an avid gardener, so plant selections include many unique shrubs and perennials.
The biggest challenge was the fill and stabilization required to create the upper patio with access to the covered deck and kitchen doors 12’ above the original finished grade. This required over 100 tons of fill and installing 15’ deep pylons 3’ below original grade.
All work shown on our plans and in the photo’s was designed and installed by our company with the exception of the fireplace, which was installed by a subcontractor mason we hired. The covered porch and masonry wall were existing when we started our design and installation work.
