Why not indulge in making total use of your own backyard? My backyard is a product of planning the use and function of the space I had; with the goal of using materials that I already had and then recycling them back into the new space. For example, before we tore down our existing house to build this new one, we reused the old uni-stone driveway that we crated and stored during the renovation at the back of the yard for later use. It was decided later that the uni-stone was to be re-used for the new patio and walkways. Our flag stone was also rethought and reused for a new surface area towards that back of the yard to link my 'She Shed' with my husbands shed. This new hard surface made it useful space for plenty of friends and family to mingle when I have large gatherings. My shed also does double duty as the bar! If you like to entertain, then use your imagination and put your ideas to use... you will be amazed at the results.
