The owners purchased a small suburban home that not only needed updating but needed a new kitchen area for their growing family. The small galley kitchen at the back of the house would not work. We added on the back of the house with a one story kitchen addition over a new basement area. The kitchen was done in a modern way with clean lines and simple elegance. It was opened up to the dining area which was also opened up to the living room. New built in cabinets were added in the living room around the fireplace and a built in buffet was added to the dining area. The large island in the kitchen is the main gathering place for the family and when guest are in town.
