Designed by Gordon Hayward (author of "Stone in the Garden" and many other excellent books and articles), clients requested a full yard renovation around a historic New England farmhouse. The project features a series of dry laid stone retaining walls, a sunken garden room made of dry laid stone walls, an orchard, and plantings that honor the home’s farmhouse history.
