The Oakwood Professional Building located in Kalamazoo, Michigan houses four dental office practices. The shared entry features a grand, floating-tread staircase paralleling a two-story window wall. The renovation involved installing a slate textured rubber flooring on the stairs for safety in lieu of carpet. The railing was refurbished as well. New tile at the entry doors and new carpet at the lower and upper levels was needed. The lobby walls now showcase a large scale patterned wallcovering that contrasts smartly against the black doors and window trim. Acoustical ceiling tiles and grid were up-dated and a mid-century styled light fixture was installed. New signage, art, and mid-century furnishings round out this iconic renovation.
