Midcentury Transitional Home in Richmond, VA
This kitchen is also part of a whole house remodel. We opened up the kitchen into the family room area by installing a new LVL beam with support post in the ceiling.
Elmwood Dove White Loyalist cabinets with a 3.5” rail, 1/16” radius edge and a wood print full access cabinet box are installed on the front exterior kitchen wall. The kitchen island consists of Elmwood Knights Armor Loyalist cabinets with 3.5” rail, 1/16” radius edge and wood print full access cabinet box.
The countertops for both the island and the kitchen base cabinets are Cambria Ella. The edge profile for the countertops is to be a pencil round detail.
The wall area above the kitchen base cabinets is finished with Gramercy White 1.5” hexagon polished mosaic marble and trimmed around the windows with .8”x12” Gramercy White pencil moulding.
The kitchen sink, faucet, range, dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator, cabinet knobs and island decorative ceiling lights were supplied by customer and installed by DesignLine.
We created a master suite in the basement of the home. In the master bedroom we added a custom walk-in closet. In the bathroom we installed White Marmi Calacatta Hexagon tile on the bathroom floor. In the master shower White Marmi Calacatta 2x2 tile on a mesh sheet was installed on the shower floor. The wall tile in the shower is White Marmi Calacatta 12”x24” porcelain tile. The tile grout for both the tile walls and floor is white.
A double Elmwood Loyalist vanity finished in Warm Concrete is installed in the master bath. The vanity top is River White. The vanity sinks, faucets, mirrors, cabinet knobs, towel bars, toilet paper holder and decorative lights were supplied by customer and installed by DesignLine.
In the laundry room we installed Atenas Taupe 9”x48” floor tile with a mocha grout. We added a folding table, hanging bars and a laundry sink. The cabinets are Elmwood Chelsea full access with a white melamine interior. The top on the folding table and laundry cabinets is Bianco Grita, Granite. The sink and faucet were supplied by customer and installed by DesignLine. The customer chose to paint these cabinets themselves.
