This was a young family’s first house and they wanted to update the dim and outdated kitchen while keeping the cabinets that were otherwise in good condition. We added matte black modern handles to give the cabinet doors a fresh look, and changed the sink to a matte black Silgranit under-mount sink and a black faucet. The original brown laminate counter top was replaced with a grey quartz to complement the marble veins in the new honeycomb tile backsplash.

We removed the peninsula counter to create a better flow in the kitchen, and added grey cabinets along the wall including a tall cabinet for more storage where they were able to keep their cleaning products separate from their pantry food. We incorporated accent metallic framed doors with frosted panels centered to the window above to encourage the open feeling of the new layout.
