This project was designed to transform an underutilized outdoor area into a comfortable, elevated living space that feels like a natural extension of the home.

Built to maximize outdoor enjoyment while maintaining a clean architectural appearance, the design centered around creating a spacious covered deck that could be enjoyed across multiple seasons. The result is a warm and welcoming retreat that balances functionality, comfort, and timeless style.

The elevated deck structure creates a dedicated outdoor destination while improving the connection between indoor and outdoor living. Wide stair access provides a seamless transition to the backyard below while naturally guiding movement throughout the space.

A large covered roof structure was incorporated to provide shade, weather protection, and year-round usability without sacrificing openness. The vaulted ceiling detail adds volume and creates an airy atmosphere, making the space feel expansive yet inviting.

Warm wood finishes and modern black railing details introduce contrast and character while maintaining a refined and cohesive appearance. The railing system preserves views of the surrounding landscape while creating a secure and open environment for gathering and relaxation.

Below the deck, enclosed lattice skirting was installed to provide a finished architectural look while concealing structural elements and maintaining visual consistency throughout the project.

Designed with both entertaining and everyday living in mind, the covered lounge area creates the perfect setting for outdoor dining, family gatherings, quiet mornings, or relaxing evenings outdoors.
