This main floor makeover began with removing a wall between the formerly dark kitchen which was isolated from the family room and removing a false kitchen ceiling. Now the space is full of natural light. The client had a blue leather sectional she wanted to keep so blue was the inspiration for the color pallette. The interior designer found a granite with a subtle amount of blue and stunning hand blown blue art glass pendant lights that hang over the bar. Yellow is the opposite of blue on the color wheel so yellow paint was selected. Yellow and white wallpaper with a subtle pattern adds texture to the back wall. A scalloped foyer light with a white glass shade illuminates a formerly dark entryway and welcomes guests.
