A custom home for a homeowner who who wanted an insulated concrete formed (ICF) home that was age-in-place. Atypical of the eclectic style of Singapore homes, this contemporary rancher is airy and luxurious, blending the design elements of art nouveau, industrial and mid-century modern. Finding the existing 2 storey home unsalvageable, TQ started construction of this custom build after demolition in January 2017. The client required age-in-place aspects, inherent with feng-shui considerations throughout the floor plan and a thoughtful layout for multi-generational living. The house is clad with aluminum Longboard™ siding, smooth stucco, concrete and a modern metal pitched roof-line. Belted with wooded land, the new house is centered deep on the property to improve privacy and revel in nature.
