The garden loving owners desired a peaceful, ultra private retreat, accommodating to the client’s mobility challenges, while keeping structural changes to a minimum. The project was centered around enjoyment of the home’s panoramic ocean views completely integrated indoor/outdoor living spaces.

Staggered, exterior structural walls that originally wrapped the family room, dining room, solarium, and living room were replaced with a curved 70 foot Nana Wall door system, seamlessly blending outdoors and indoors.

Maximizing the home’s panoramic ocean views, seclusion and accessibility drove all design decisions. The new outdoor living room is not visible from neighboring homes, achieving homeowners desire for “natural seclusion”.
