Nicasio Adirondack Lodge

The Adirondack style for lodge design originated in upper state New York toward the end of the 1800s as wealthy families were seeking to leave the hot and crowded cities along the east coast. They travelled by train into the nearby mountains, purchased pristine land along the shores of the plentiful lakes and created a unique architectural style based on the common vernacular of the area.
