This PG and E power station was built in 1913 on a (then) remote ridgetop looking toward San Francisco, and was converted to a home in the 1950s. After several subsequent remodels, the property was purchased by my clients and schedule for one more round of remodeling. We replaced the south deck and sliding doors, added glass rain/sun covers, and a cable railing. We added a matching glass cover to the lower level garage/home entry. At the lower level, we converted part of the undefined "basement" to a wine cellar and tasting room, and then we cut a hole in the north 18" thick brick wall to give visual access to a new yard and deck on the north side. The interior spaces and circulation were simplified and organized for better flow.
