Nursery, Snoqualmie Ridge
My client, a Microsoft manager expecting her first child, found me on Houzz.com as she had big dreams for her daughter's nursery. The design process was highly collaborative as she had very stylish taste and knew exactly what she loved and didn't like. I proposed mixing styles for visual interest so we incorporated contemporary, traditional, and shabby chic decor to keep things fresh and interesting.
We kept the overall color palette clean and sophisticated using varying warm tones in white, cream, and oatmeal. We then layered in shades of mauve, warm greys, and shell pink. We incorporated different patterns as well as textures like wool, terrycloth, organic cotton, satin, and velvety yet sturdy microfiber.
Metals were carefully mixed including chrome, brushed nickel, and vintage oil rubbed bronze against metallic raspberry rosette pulls in the closet. White plantation shutters and crown molding were installed for warmth and architectural interest.
The drapery panels and rug were customized, and the tree mural has touches of iridescent paint for an understated yet sophisticated shimmer.
