When a vibrant, entrepreneurial family of four wanted to transform their tree-filled backyard into a functional and modern retreat, we crafted a space that caters to all ages, complete with a teen-friendly sports field, outdoor kitchen, spa, and a sophisticated adult entertainment area.

We began by clearing the dense landscape to create an open sports field for the kids, followed by an upgrade of the existing plaster pool, adding a spa for year-round enjoyment. The patio was extended and modernized, featuring a louvered pergola that brings in sunlight and keeps bugs out, making it a welcoming space for dining and entertaining all summer long.

For improved energy efficiency, we helped the family transition from oil to natural gas, utilizing the existing gas line and safely removing the outdated oil tank and furnace. A sleek paver patio now complements the expanded outdoor living areas, and a stylish outdoor kitchen, equipped with Wolf cabinetry and granite countertops, makes outdoor cooking both convenient and tidy. With integrated low-voltage lighting, automated entertainment, and a comprehensive yard irrigation system, the entire property is easily managed via smartphone.

To enhance connectivity, we incorporated a spiral staircase from a new, intimate balcony, creating seamless access from the modernized kitchen to the backyard. An additional composite grill deck off the garage provides a private, dedicated space for family gatherings.

Our final touches included updated pool equipment and elegant Tech-Bloc pavers around the pool and spa. An inviting outdoor kitchen, bar, and pergola complete the gathering spaces, while ambient low-voltage lighting adds warmth and allure, making this transformed backyard perfect for both everyday relaxation and special occasions.
