This elegant 1,800 sq. foot apartment was previously owned by noted architect Milo Thompson, who had done extensive remodeling of the space. Using the auspicious architecture as a starting point we gave the space a face lift with the exception of the kitchen which was gutted and remodeled to feature a center island, granite and zinc countertops, and a cozy breakfast nook. We painted the walls throughout an art gallery white and left the windows uncovered to maximize views and light. The furnishings mix sculptural pieces with the clients' own antiques. Seating in the "great room" was placed in intimate groupings, which works well when entertaining.
