Renovation and addition Design - Cape Cod, MA
Total project includes a full gut demolition and redesign of the interior and updates to the front deck and entry to the home.
Initial demolition was underway when we were engaged for design concepts and project management.
The home was built in the early 1970's and, while sound, the structure needs some updating while confirming to local zoning and wetland setbacks. The front deck structure is deficient and will be reconstructed to code, with a nod to the owner's love of sailing in the repeating sailboat motif in the deck railing.
The project needed to be resubmitted to the local zoning commission and the local conservation commission, so we provided updated plans with dimensions to a local civil engineer for formal submission to the town, and interior design revisions are currently underway.
