This River Forest home renovation was an 80 year old traditional brick home that needed numerous upgrades and updates. Among them was the need of a new, well functioning kitchen. This dark constricted galley kitchen was transformed to a light airy space with multi-level counter seating and a lounge area. The family room fireplace was opened to the adjoining space and covered with polished Vico Stone. The opposite side of the fireplace faces the bourbon room and features a Pierre Gris stone surround and hearth and custom crafted mantle.
