This homeowner lives in the Canyon Crest area of Riverside, Ca. They have enjoyed their hoe for the past twenty years and had decided it was time to add the art studio they had always dreamed of but never thought possible. Their dream was multi challenged, they have a natural creek that runs year round in their backyard and were hoping to be able to see the creek, yet have a room that allowed them to have a roof that was all glass. This meant the room would have to be off the master bedroom, to get the floor level up high enough to offer a full view down at the creek. This did offer a side benefit the client had never considered, it provided a fully insulated rooftop over the downstairs patio, that allowed for a whole separate out door living area. This made it very natural to add in an outdoor kichen and barbeque at the same time. A home entertainment area underneath completed the outdoor space, and the project made total sense to the client. Sun Boss handled all phases of design, engineering through to permitting and finish build out of this incredible addition. David, the designer was amazed he had lived in Riverside his whole life and never knew there were any creeks in Canyon Crest that ran year round....this truly was a one of a kind project!
For the homeowner the project meant transforming a home they had raised their children in, and created the sanctuary they hope to spend the rest of their days in!
