This is a Concept Design for a courtyard and front yard garden, showcasing art in the garden as a large overhead shade structure, the use of a ground cover called Kurapia as a lawn replacement, the reconfiguration of the existing brick hardscape, new outlines of some of the planting beds, and the relocation of a mailbox. The plant palette was developed based on the plants' colors and textures compatibility. The choice of colors was inspired by the artwork found indoors, the living room furniture, and the existing front door and brick hardscape. Using few plants sets the tone for a sophisticated landscape that will not compete with the artwork.
