We created a garden inspired by the French Countryside, using a plant palette that is mediterranean in nature, with lots of grasses, and leafy perennials, but that can withstand the hot and dry conditions of this site. We purposefully chose a color scheme that is complementary to the home and fit the client's taste: purples, pinks, tans, greens, some yellows, some oranges. We incorporated fruit trees on the backyard slope, a path with steps up to a seating area with a stunning view of the sunset, and gathering spaces. We were also happy to incorporate a fire pit, flagstone pathways, tiered fountain, designer pots.
