Seventeen years without a dishwasher meant it was finally time to remodel. This 1,000 sq.-ft. rambler was completely redone on the first floor. The load bearing wall that divided the kitchen from the living room was beamed to open up the area and provide for an elevated breakfast bar. The kitchen also includes a farm-house sink, custom rustic alder cabinetry, and a dishwasher. The walls in the bedrooms were reconfigured to allow for a master bedroom suite with a walk-in closet and a master bathroom with a large shower paneled in glass. The new openness has the family wanting to host a summer party and the next family Christmas.
