The client wanted a modern contemporary design kitchen finished in Blackened Oak and a futon style master bed. Additionally, the condo penthouse unit was planned with a pull down style bed system.

Client's architect HASE Architect, Inc provided the principle design. I was invited by the client's contractor Brett Hill Construction to design the case work for their client. Blackened Oak was the color scheme to achieve. We secured the desired results using a controlled hand wipe method after the black was sprayed onto the oak veneer panels. Case work was produced by Island Home Building Material's shop.

Working closely with the contractor's site supervisor helped to overcome numerous technical concerns delivering a final product pleasing to the client.
