On a smaller budget - we used standard/available materials to turn a 90's builder special laundry room into a more open and functional space. We kept the existing floor. We added a wider footprint sink, additional outlets, and incorporated a new countertop space for folding and slow cooking. We removed the hard to reach upper wall cabinets and replaced them with utility drawers as well as slide-out trays under the sink for cleaning products. On the walls, we added trimmed shelving for a nice aesthetic and continuing the open trend the customer desired. We even ensured there was room for a clothes hamper beside the drawer base and standing room for folding clothes (next to the what is now a stacked washer and dryer).
