Smoke + Steam
This backyard sauna was an attempt to find solace within the thick concrete and asphalt ground that is Providence's West Side. The structure and detailing of the sauna draws from the ritual of steam baths, the suspension of moisture and bodies in air, and the vision and haptics of darkness.
