South End Home Remodel

Our goal for this project was to maintain the integrity of the home while making it aesthetically comfortable and pleasing for our clients. The existing conditions of the home resembled the Victorian era with ornamental details, which was undesirable for our clients. We focused on a clean and contemporary design for the client’s kitchen, pantry, master bathroom, and nursery. The original architectural detailing was kept intact while superfluous ornamental suggestions were removed throughout the home.

In the kitchen and pantry, the cabinet doors were re-faced and new push open hardware installed to create a more minimal appearance over the existing cabinet boxes, upper cabinets were removed in favor of open slot shelving, and the island integrated a waterfall leg that incorporated more open flow of light. The existing flowery fixtures in the powder room were removed and replaced with fixtures that incorporated more modern simple lines. Single lever and wall mount fixtures with simplistic tile and accessories replaced over-complicated accouterments in the master bath while soft cove lighting was introduced to soften the hard lines. The dual room nursery was transformed into a large office space, with push open hardware and new closet systems.
