Suburban Reno

This renovation was for the entire first floor of a very well used suburban house. Luckily my customers wanted rid of absolutely everything so we were able to start fresh. The results were great and my clients are thrilled.
This totally customized kitchen was made from Ikea cabinetry. We wanted to have grey but still keep it very warm feeling.

This after pic isn't taken from the same angle but it shows how much great counter space and it shows part of the great storage she now has. The backsplash adds a lot of punch to this very subdued kitchen.

By moving the door to the diningroom we were able to get rid of the unusable tight corner and give nice pot drawers and counter space each side of the stove.

The mainfloor hallway was stripped of wallpaper, flooring and carpet as well as the pickets on the stairs.

After the renovation the first floor of the house was clean and contemporary. We straightened the bottom step modernizing the staircase and added a carpet runner.

We rebuilt the fireplace, added a new gas insert, did new built ins, changed the flooring to hardwood and completely redecorated making a completely new space. The new custom builtins hide my clients well used but not so beautiful books.

My client loves to knit and is an avid reader. We needed to come up with a way to hide the knitting supplies as well as only showcase some of the books and hide the rest.

Buy building the custom made bookcases (shown on previous picture) and buying a cabinet to go beside the chair my client now has a comfy place to do her knitting, store all her knitting supplies neatly, and hide all of the books she doesn't want to display.

The dining room was very well used for 20 odd years and like the rest of the house needed a complete re-do. Everything went and we started fresh.

The new dining room has new wainscoting, hardwood floors, fresh paint, furniture, accessories and lighting. This new space is bright and fresh and is now a room my client uses happily on a regular basis.

This dining room is a little on the small side but along with seating for 6 I needed to incorporate some storage. In order not to make the space look or feel cramped I chose a mirrored cabinet with interior drawers and shelving. The result is a non cluttered look but with good storage.
