Surfside Bathroom Remodel
Description: Single level Surfside home with original building layout. Last cosmetic update in 2004. No major issues other than small areas of damp, required a full re-design.
Design & Construction: This master bathroom had an excellent original layout with a loverly corner window and a good sized bath/shower. We removed the tub and completely stripped out the shower enclosure, including all the tile, knee wall, drywall/cement board plus the double vanities, mirrors and light fixtures. We squared off the arched entrance way and ran new plumbing for the beautiful Woodbridge gold bathtub faucet. The bath/shower drainage, toilet location and water supplies remained in the original location.
Two custom lilac vanities with quartz countertops and Duravit under-mount sinks where installed at either end of the room. Brushed brass hardware, faucet and wall mirrors by Restoration Hardware. Benjamin Moore paint and natural ‘wood effect’ porcelain floor tile. The gorgeous shower tile is white ‘Retro Scallop’ mosaic complimented with b/w marble herringbone floor and niche tile. Dual custom lilac vanities complete the look.
