With family-owned land for over 60 years, the owners were building on the rear section and really wanted their home to express their personality as well as have careful and unique detailing. Starting the building process initially with a group housing company, they weren’t satisfied because they couldn’t get the level of individuality and character that they wanted. So, they engaged Strachan Group Architects and MLB to carry out the build.
The build was a new, two-storey, four-bedroom house, with two bathrooms. MLB completed the full build including cedar cladding, polished concrete floor and intricate timber detailing throughout.
It has a cohesive feel, lots of warmth, vibrancy, unique design features and careful detailing, along with a wraparound deck so they can really enjoy their garden. Their home is a beautiful tribute to their personalities and their family’s heritage.
