Tiffany Blue Was the Cue

We were engaged to design a suite of bedrooms, baths and rec room for 4 teenage girls in a wing of the large family home. We had a space of 2400 sq.ft including a majestic hexagonal room with 16 foot ceilings with previously housed the family craft room. Each girl has an entirely different character and interests which the mother shared with us so we planned to give each room an individual character.
Each girl has a favorite color so we created a individual palette for each bedroom but kept a unifying color of of Tiffany blue based on the Mothers cue for a color they were all partial to.
The girls are delighted with their new bedrooms and rec space and enjoy all being together in newly created teenage wing.

In the rec room we accommodated a large lounging sectional for movie and TV watching and the huge movie posters accentuate the theme of of the entertainment space.

The kitchenette provides built-in refrigeration and microwave, a pull- out pantry for snacks and breakfasts and a small dishwasher.

We designed built- ins and storage with customized cabinetry in white lacquer which matches our custom designed round white lacquer night stands and round bed.

In the next bedroom we had a structural post to maintain so used this to create a custom designed headboard with storage shelves.

Although most of the girls were indifferent to wanting a desk space in their new bedrooms, this daughter desired one so we designed custom built-ins with a generous desk with open shelving adjoining a dresser.

The bathroom accommodates 2 sinks with storage , a WC area and generous shower with built-in bench and shampoo niche. We fashioned a vertical niche between the 2 sinks providing additional storage on glass shelves. We reclaimed this space from a previous arched niche.

The interests and character of the "pink rooms" occupant was international travel..........and love of shocking pink.

The last bedroom was designed in a theme of collectibles and antiques which this daughter has a passion for. We chose flouncy feminine linens for the bed and paired mis- matched nightstands and table lamps to provide a layered look of "antique" finds.

Opposite the bed we have a corner bookshelves and a loveseat for reading and lounging.

The bathroom accessed from this bedroom also provides dual sinks, a generous shower with bench and niche.
