The Fabricsmith made the bay window valance and large panels in the den and master bedroom. Bolsters were used in the large window seat and daybed cover. Upholstered cornice boards and headboard were constructed from scratch.

We made the cornice boards with a small arch to simulate the arch in walls between the rooms. Fabric from the old drapery panels were used to cover the boards. Waste not want not.

This fabric is an embroidered linen. It was lined with cotton sateen to give it body. Note how the pattern on the bolster matches the bed cover. Pillows and bed cover made by The Fabricsmith.

This area was a little odd, but the design was perfect. A large firm bolster was attached to the deep window sill to allow guests to sit back and enjoy a conversation with a friend. The window seat cushion was not deep enough to have the bolster sit on top.
