This in process photo shows when everything has been removed. A couple things to notice would be the flooring that was saved and covered with cardboard to protect it. It was installed around the cabinetry, so the same cabinetry footprint would be used. Also notice where the soffits were removed....

In this after photo you can see the smaller soffit that was built to hide the heat supply duct above the doorway. The soffit was made small enough to die into the side of the cabinet.

This final photo shows the bridge between the cabinets over the sink where the plumbing was concealed. In this kitchen 12" soffits and 30" cabinets were removed and 36" cabinets and 6" of trim were installed. The homeowners gained more storage space and a more uniform looking kitchen with cabinets...
