This family with young children in McLean, VA wanted a tree house where their kids could safely play. Bianco Renovations was able to design them a tree top playhouse around the trunk of a tree in their yard.
The tree house is accessed through a trap door on the deck that is reached by a rope ladder. Bamboo railings help keep the deck safe, while adding a rustic touch to the design.
Inside the tree house there's plenty of light from the windows, as well as lots of standing room below the pitched roof. The tree house is built around the trunk of a tree, so it's environmentally friendly as well, supported by lumber from below on two sides.
