The home is filled with character, cedar T & G planked walls and ceilings, high angled ceiling details and original oak trim and molding. It was important to our clients to incorporate some original elements in the new design. Keeping with the original footprint this kitchen received a charming update. The existing kitchen was dark, dated and well loved. And the transformation is bright, beautiful and functional.

The kitchen:

- Kept with the big beautiful window overlooking the Fraser river to anchor the space, perfect view while washing dishes

- Maximized counter workspace with bringing countertops to one level, eliminating drop down desk and step up eating bar on the island.

- Reworked kitchen cabinets incorporating new double wall oven, fridge, island cooktop with downdraft and dishwasher.

- Created a home for everything – the footprint is compact, so functional storage was important – floor to ceiling rollouts in pantry, pullout above fridge making the space more accessible
