Updated Dining Room

This homeowner knew she needed to update her decor and color palette, but didn't know where to start. First we removed the dark draperies and lightened the wall color with Sherwin-Williams Accessible Beige. No more family photographs on the walls. No more small-scale golden oak furniture. We purchased a stripped antique French buffet and a painted mirror to go above it. We flanked the mirror with a pair of iron lamps with linen shades. We purchased an antique iron dining table base and had a new top custom made for it. We purchased eight French dining chairs and had them recovered and added nailhead trim. We replaced the black and red chandelier. Added a sisal rug and hung pleated embroidered linen draperies. A painted china cabinet with chicken wire on the doors was filled with white ironstone, creamware, and pewter. You can see BEFORE photos of this project below.
