Ute Place Remodel

This project represents a complete exterior and interior remodel of a house overlooking the Roaring Fork River. Exterior finishes and fenestration were redone for a stronger connection to the outdoors and interior spaces were reconfigured and finished to be more functional and inspiriting.

The dining room and kitchen connect to the outdoor dining deck and views through large lift-slide doors and windows.

The kitchen, although completely open to the dining area, is almost indiscernible as a kitchen for a more formal effect. The floor to ceiling kitchen cabinets and paneled appliances serve as a end wall element to the space.

The square dining table repeats the shape of the square kitchen island and the same chandeliers hover over each of them granting them the same formal treatment.

The original solid stairway was replaced with a new floating stair allowing more light to penetrate into the lower level and creating more transparency, through a window, to the outdoor sculpture.
