Victorian Remodel
This full-home remodel transformed an underutilized first floor layout into an expansive luxury eat-in kitchen, with custom shaker-style cabinetry, high end appliances and an adjacent new family room addition with a wood burning fireplace. The custom cabinets were designed with hidden features such as a cutting board drawer located directly over a pull out trashcan, and hidden storage for small kitchen appliances. Built-in appliances such as a wine fridge and microwave drawer were inset into the oversized island with rococo quartz countertops to compliment the historic home’s period. Interior trim and finishes were matched with custom molding, and white oak floors were selected to match the existing historical floors found throughout the home.
The homeowners wanted a better solution to dealing with functionality and flow of the first floor, it all started with the newly added breezeway addition at the rear entry on the home that enters into the custom built mudroom. The family room addition, while only adding 206 square feet, created a separate space for entertaining and expanded kitchen with an optimized layout. Other work performed on this full-home remodel include a custom entry mudroom, professional laundry room, home office, 4 redesigned bathrooms and bedrooms including a fully remolded luxury master bedroom suite with a newly redesigned master bath and 103 square foot walk-in closet.
