This single-family home in the Wicker Park neighborhood of Chicago features custom millwork throughout. The homeowners wanted high-gloss finish in the kitchen, but didn’t want high-gloss cost, so we used a new high-gloss laminate imported from Italy to bridge the design/cost gap.

The savings went to customized hardware for the pantry and pull-out drawers. Additional laminate was used to create a durable finish in the home office.
