I was able to purchase the tile from the Tile Shop. Out the box, it looks very dull. Once the sealer is applied, its gorgeous!

It also depends on the liner that is used, the hood cfm's and the btu's the cooktop or range gives off. I always go off the hood recommendations.

That makes sense. I'm going for a 36 inch wide cooktop and have read that the hood should extend 6 inches wider to either side of the cooktop, so therefore I'd need a 48" hood. They're awfully expensive, but when I find the right one I want to make sure I mount it so that it works most efficiently. I'll see what the manufacturer says about height.

You can put this on an outside wall if you properly insulate around it with a spray foam. That is what we did in this case. Thanks!

It is a pot filler (water faucet used to fill pots). This comes in handy so you don't have to carry large pots of water across the kitchen from the main sink to the stove. Definately a splurge item. Thanks!
