I am really glad to read these posts. Now I know WHY my suction cup holder from BBB did not stay in place. Kept falling to the bottom and drove me crazy thinking I wasn't positioning it correctly. And the Blanco holders need one set of magnets on the "back underside" of sink - how to put on when sink already installed, and some people say the magnets aren't strong enough to keep the holder from falling to bottom of sink. I do have an over the faucet holder, but don't really like it, but it's all there is to get stuff off the bottom of the sink. Blanco needs to come up with something workable.

I’m considering a Silgranit sink, and your question got my attention! In the past I’ve seen that they make tip out kits to retrofit the cabinet face to hold all your little scrubbies. Maybe that’s an option... What did you end up doing?

Yes it is a drain board. You can cut on it and it comes with a walnut cutting board.

How can you cut on granite? Won't that ruin your knives? Wouldn't the material have to have a bit of give - a Corian type, or something - to work as a cutting board?

This sink is from Blanco and comes in 8 different colors. It is $1143.75 and $75.00 for shipping plus tax. It takes us about 2 weeks to get it once it's ordered.

The Metallic Grey by Blanco is a lighter gray color - the photo here appears to be darker - and that would be the Blanco Cinder finish.

Satin Nickel: $647.50

Yes it will not rust. It is made of crushed granite. There is no metal in the sink so therefore it won't rust. Very, very durable.

Hi This is a composite sink so there is no need for extra support. You install it like a regular undermount sink and cut the whole for the granite including the drain board. If you have any other questions please email me at carrieb@westheimerplumbing.com
