This was a humble, but large rancher, in the best part of town. We kept the footprint, but re-configured the interior, adding an upstairs space within the 1/2 story roof space. We also finished the basement with a second den, walk in cedar closet and bedroom and bath.

This design is nestled in the trees and gives the impression of being small. However, it is over 6,000 SF. My goal when designing, if given the choice, is always to mesh the house with the land.
