Since there is never enough seating at a large party, I designed a full width window seat in the dining room. It also provides great storage space for large platters and silver. The two custom china and silver storage cabinets that flank the window seat also add great storage space.

This guest room is fresh and clean. Tip: I bought the oil painting over the bed online. Also, the headboard was a Craigslist find for $200 that was black before I antiqued it white with a darker wash.

I like to take personal objects and use them in new ways. We used an antique family sewing machine for a bedside table.

In order to have 24" of working counter space, I designed the base cabinets to be 36" deep. This allows the tambour door storage of 12" deep, but still gives working counter space. It also almost doubles the drawer space below. Photo credit Pamela Foster

The breakfast room in this house is almost as large as a regular dining room. It is in conjunction with a bar seating area, which makes the kitchen very family friendly.

These base cabinets are 36" deep to accomodate the tambour door storage on the counter. This design almost doubles the base cabinet storage space and also allows the upper counter to still be a working space of 24" deep.

Removing a persian rug and replacing with a sisal rug, and swapping an iron headboard for a linen fabric headboard totally changed the look of this bedroom.
