The design for this 4500 square foot residence began with the owner's deeply rooted love of Nantucket and the great shingle style summerhouses constructed at the turn of the century; classic, yet welcoming and informal.

The residence faces East on the Barrington/Warren River. Although construction began in 1989, it was completed in five stages during its young seven-year-old life.

Construction phases have varied size and scope, yet no indication exists from the original and newer work
