A Whole New Plan

This beautiful home wasn't even getting a chance to shine with all the dark wook and stunted focal points. The rooms were small and segregated....the only thing left to do was start a whole new plan!

Before

The kitchen was separated from the great room and the darker cabinets were heavy and depressing.

All the cabinets and appliances were on one wall with the sink and dishwasher on the adjacent. Here you see the pantries and a small dinette table (on the right) but the room had no balance.

This lack luster wall soared to 20'. Too much of too little.

The cornices really shut the windows down and the fireplace, on the shortest wall, looked thwarted as the one point of perspective; not at all the focal point it should be.

Still in the project phase, but even now you can see the incredible impact taking down the heavy cornices and wrapping the mantel in reclaimed lumber does for the fireplace. It's the focal point it should be!
