We left the venting and sink of the previous layout because they worked, but removed the brick tomb around the range area and opened up the space by removing the peninsula. Both elements had totally confined the space. Now It's open to the casual dining and sitting areas.

The sink may have stayed in the same location, but the view certainly changed. Fresh, clean, briight, and classic! The new accent color on the ceiling and the fresh walls set off the homeowners reconfigured, existing furniture which was up dated with new pillows, rug, and coffee tale. Again, so...

The famiy desk area was part of the previous playroom and the tv now hangs on a wall of the former walk-in pantry. When removing walls relaocating the hvac to ensure proper circulation becomes the biggest challenge and for this was project that was no exception.

The walls that were the pantry, hallway, and sunroom were all torn down and lvl beams replaced the load-bearing wall. 100 year old lumber wraps the supports and lends a rich texture that compliments the other woods.

This island is 120" wide with waterfall sides on either end. On the working side of these cabinets house a double waste basket and a drawer microwave along with tons of drawer storage!

Sometimes the existinhg cabinets just need a facelift. Outside the main kitchen area was a hall with a service area. It didn't need tearing out, but it certainly needed a refresh! Solution? Paint the cabinets a paller shade of grey and change the hardware, sink and faucet, and the countertop. ...

encasing the range was a heavy brick that had absorbed a significant amount of cooking grease over the years. There was no landing space around the top and the wall cut of the other areas.

The sink wall is two storys in height and removing it would have taken the project to a place the homeowners didn't think was worth it, so we left the sink were it was and developed the remaing space.

The sub-zero was in good shape but the rest of it just didn't fit the kind of storage and lifestyle of the homeowners. The door on the left is to the pantry which was demolished to open the space up.

This wall is actually brick (surprise!) but had to come down inorder to open the space up so we installed a linteled opening and incorporated in wrapped, reclaimed lumber. It turned out fabulous!!!

This photo shows the end of the former peninsula, and the hall between the walk-in pantry and the sunroom. At the end of this hall is the playroom which will eventually include the family desk and office equipment area.
