A National Historic Landmark, the Andrew Low House was constructed in 1849. It was the childhood home of Juliette Gordon Low, founder of the Girl Scouts of America. Removal of the 1980's exterior paint revealed the original stucco to be in excellent condition. The window sash and trim, entry door and trim, shutters and ironwork were repainted using the 1849 colors that were identified through analysis of existing paint chip fragments.
