Burnside River Residence
Constructed in 1958, the residence is located on an island connected by a causeway to the mainland. The renovation project capitalizes on the dramatic views that emerge from different vertical levels and brings natural light into the interior living area. Reconfigured spaces on the first floor include a relocated kitchen in the former dining room, a combined entertainment and dining area moved to the former family room, and a redesigned entry foyer. Ceilings were removed in the kitchen and master bedroom to expose the original roof structure.
