A beautiful native flowering shrub for large spaces. Also known as Carolina allspice, 'Aphrodite' is much longer blooming than other calycanthus, providing over two months of color and fragrance. Large, glossy foliage is very attractive; plant takes on rounded habit and reaches 5-6' tall and equally as wide. Hardy to USDA zone 5, heat tolerant to AHS zone 9. Deer-resistant; grow in full to partial sun.
