Bluebeard (Caryopteris)

Also known as blue mist spirea, caryopteris is a sun-loving late season flowering shrub. Flowers are blue and contrast with the yellow or silver foliage, depending on the variety. Ideal for dry soils and hot, sunny sites.
Hardy to USDA zone 5. Heat tolerant to AHS zone 9. Full sun, deer resistant.
Caryopteris blooms in late summer/early autumn. Lil' Miss Sunshine has bright gold foliage to contrast with the blue flowers.
