A sprawling master bedroom has become commonplace in today’s custom home. Having an adjacent foyer with extended hallway access was a delightful bonus in this floorplan. The goal was to transform what could have been just an ordinary corridor in to an alluring passageway leading to the master suite.

Hallways are practical, so a complete lighting plan needed to include fixtures that balanced the flow of light throughout the space. The plan included concealed ceiling lights and wall sconces in the hall and a romantic chandelier in the vestibule that are majestic as well as dramatic.

Bedsides the architectural detail, materials and embellishments chosen to complement them would define the space. First, choosing color tones that were cohesive with the adjoining suite was important; adding dynamic contrasts would make the entrance to this room enchanting.
